Women's Voices Milwaukee:
Women Who Rock, Icons and Awakening
May 17th, 2026
Event Time: 2pm
Tickets From $10

Women’s Voices Milwaukee, a local contemporary women’s vocal ensemble, is back again! Our new production “Women Who Rock: Icons and Awakenings,” celebrates the legendary women whose music broke barriers, shaped culture, and still inspires us today. In part 1 of our tribute last May, we highlighted over 20 women from 1960 to the present who have left their mark on us all through their song. In this show, we journey back further, starting with the classic sounds of Ella Fitzgerald and The Andrews Sisters moving through
the decades as the music, our culture, and the songs themselves have evolved. From Etta to Alicia and Billie to Barbra to Beyonce, we will give voice to the icons who shaped us and sing the awakenings their music continues to spark..
Join Women’s Voices Milwaukee as we raise our voices in tribute to the women who rocked the world—and still do.
